If you’ve followed Art & Sol for a while, you probably already know that this platform has always been about more than just creative output. It’s about culture. It’s about identity. It’s about telling our stories—especially the ones that don’t get told enough.
That’s why I’m beyond excited to share that on May 25th, I’m launching a new podcast with two of the women who have been instrumental to this journey from the very beginning: Listen, Mija is here.
The show is a heartfelt, hilarious, and honest conversation between myself, Jen, and Stella—three Latinas at different stages of life, sharing the realness of what it means to be women of color navigating identity, family, healing, partnership, parenting, and purpose. It’s the kind of storytelling Art & Sol was built to amplify—just in a more raw and unfiltered format.
Some of you may remember that before Art & Sol, I was a contributor for Halfstack Magazine, founded and led by Jen. That publication gave me my start, my confidence, and my creative family. As my work grew to reflect deeper ties to the cities and people around me—especially creatives within my own community—Art & Sol was born. With Jen’s blessing, I built this platform as a space to expand the stories I wanted to tell.
And now, years later, we’ve come full circle.
Listen, Mija started like so many things do—with dinner, deep conversation, and a shared feeling that we needed more spaces to talk about our experiences. We came up with 30+ episode ideas in one sitting. Within a week, we had a name, a logo, and that familiar creative spark we used to share at Halfstack.
What makes this podcast different? It’s not just about the struggle. It’s about joy, too. About our incredible work ethic. About healing, humor, and generational wisdom passed down (and sometimes redefined). We talk about hard things, yes—but we also talk about what it means to thrive, to laugh until we cry, and to show up for ourselves and our people.
Over time, I plan to feature Listen, Mija-related content here on Art & Sol—whether that’s reflections from each episode, guest highlights, or deeper dives into the topics we explore. Because this isn’t a side project—it’s an extension of the work I’ve always aimed to do: amplify stories rooted in culture, community, and creative truth.
We can’t wait for you to pull up a chair and join us.
